About Summit County Ski Rentals

When did we start our ski shop? Back in 1976, we took the opportunity to start our ski rental shop in Silverthorne, in virtually the same location that we are today. We knew we would be at a crossroads location on the way to all the best skiing in Summit County, and we are still there today. I-70 Exit 205 is the first exit out of the tunnel on the busiest exit off of I-70 in the State of Colorado! We are on the way to Keystone and Arapahoe Basin on Hwy 6, we are a quick on and off the highway to Copper Mountain or Vail and Beaver Creek.

If you’re going to Breckenridge, stop at I-70 Exit 205 (Silverthorne/Dillon) and outfit yourselves in the best gear for the lowest prices in the area! We are reliably open seven days a week, from 7:30am to 9:00pm, and staffed with friendly and well-informed ski and snowboard techs and salespeople!

What makes us better than the competition? We are the same guys who started the shop in 1976, and you will find us there greeting you and helping you with your skis and boards. We have personally handpicked, hired and trained our staff every year to follow the mission of our shop which is to provide the best trained staff, the best quality equipment, tuned to the highest performance standards, so that YOU are sure to enjoy a superior skiing and riding experience for a LOWER cost than you would pay at the base of the slopes.

Who are the guys who started the shop?
Rod ‘Yogi’ Hebron - Canadian Team champion from 1960-1970, skied Olympics in Innsbruck (64) and Grenoble (68) and WorldCup from 1962-1972. He pioneered the World Pro-Skiing circuit with Bob Beattie in 1972. Yogi’s race bibs are all over the shop!

Eliott ‘Eli’ Robertson - East Coast born military brat. Went to Exeter Acacdemy, McGill in Monteal and Trinity in Hartford. Eli is a natural skier and athlete and a great communicator. Just ask him about anything related to skiing, and he'll fill you in!

Robert ‘Saint’ St. John - orn and raised in Wyoming, went to Cherry Creek HS n Denver and is a CU Buffalo grad and alum. Saint always has a joke or a witticism that mey keep you thinking on the way to the slopes!
